Waterbender Poodles is committed to producing top quality puppies. In addition to carefully selecting genetically diverse, health cleared, structurally sound, and well tempered dog. Many of our dogs are volunteer community Therapy Dogs who visit local retirement homes, drop-in centers, and schools.

While we do the occasional Confirmation (Dog Show), we like to focus on performance based sports.
​
Our dogs are trained in and compete in a variety of disciplines like Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Trick Dog, and soon Field Trials. They also are tested on and earn temperament/sociability titles like Canine Good Neighbour.

All our dogs' health testing, pedigrees, and genetic diversity results are posted publicly on our web page (see links beside each dog under Our Girls or Our Boys sections.

Our dogs hips are all OFA tested, have beautiful teeth and have clear, normal eye and cardiac results. They are all clear and not carriers for PRA, vWD, DM, and NEWS. We also test for genetic diversity. Our dogs have low COI and we do not practice in-line breeding (aka in-breeding).

A dog must be 2 years old before its hips can be tested and only bred after all their testing results are back.
